App Name: Ikune

1. Introduction

Ikune (hereinafter referred to as "this App") is an app that lets you share your real-time location temporarily with friends and family when meeting up. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use this App.

2. Information We Collect

This App collects and uses the following information:

2.1 Information You Provide

• Display name: A nickname used in the App (randomly generated or entered by hand)
• Avatar icon: Chosen from 20 preset icons
• Friend information: Information about your relationships with users you have added as friends

2.2 Location Information

• Current location: Real-time location information from GPS (latitude and longitude)

Location information is used for the following purposes:

• To share your current location with the person you are meeting, in real time
• To show each other's locations on the map

2.3 Messages

• Message content: The text you send to a friend, and the stamps you pick
• Sender and time sent

Messages are kept as one conversation per friend. Anything you send while sharing your location is kept in that same conversation.

Unlike location data, messages are not removed when sharing ends, so that you can read them again later. If you want them removed, contact us at the address below. Deleting your account also deletes that account's messages.

2.4 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Device type, OS version, and similar information
• Push notification token: An identifier needed to send notifications (FCM token)

This App does not collect information that identifies you personally, such as your real name, phone number, or address. Your email address is used only for authentication and is never shown to other users.

3. How We Use Information

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

• To share your location with the person you are meeting, in real time
• To show your location on the map
• To notify you by push notification when sharing starts and ends
• To let you exchange messages and stamps with friends
• To provide the friend adding and management features
• To improve the quality of the App and fix bugs
• To prevent misuse and maintain security

4. How Location Information Is Handled

This App pays special attention to how it handles location information.

4.1 How Location Sharing Works

• Sharing always starts by hand: Location sharing never begins unless you explicitly tap the "Ikune" button
• Time limited: Every share has a time limit (5 minutes to 24 hours). Sharing stops automatically once the time is up
• Only shared with friends: You can only share your location with people you have added as friends. It is never shared with people you don't know
• Data deleted when sharing ends: When sharing ends, the location data is deleted from the server

4.2 Location Information in the Background

This App also collects location information in the background, but only while you are sharing. This is so that the person you are meeting can see your accurate location even while you have the App closed.

• Background location only runs while a sharing session is active
• When sharing ends, background location collection also stops automatically

4.3 Location Permissions

This App uses the following location permissions:

• iOS: "While Using the App" or "Always"
• Android: "While using the app" or "Allow all the time"

"Always" is needed for background location sharing, but it is not required. If you choose "While Using the App", the App still works normally while it is open.

You can change the location permission at any time from your device settings.

5. Storage of Information

5.1 Where Data Is Stored

• User data and friend information are stored in Google Firebase Firestore
• Authentication information is managed by Firebase Authentication (using email, Google, and anonymous authentication)
• Push notifications are sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

5.2 Deleting Your Account and Data

You can delete your account at any time, which erases all related data.

To delete it from within the App:

1. Open the App and go to the "Settings" screen
2. Tap "Delete Account"
3. Confirm the deletion on the confirmation screen

If you cannot access the App:

Please contact us by email at info.mobileappsengine@gmail.com. After confirming your identity, we will delete your account.

When your account is deleted, the following data is deleted:

• Account information (display name, avatar, openUserId)
• Friend list and friend request information
• Any location sharing session in progress (ended and deleted immediately)
• Conversations with friends (messages and stamps)

6. Sharing of Information

6.1 Information Shared Within the App

The following information is shown to other users in this App:

• Location: Shown on the map only to the person you are sharing with, only while sharing
• Profile information: Your display name and avatar icon are shown to your friends
• openUserId: The 8-digit number you tell someone so they can add you as a friend (you choose to share it yourself)

Your location and profile information are never shown to users who have not added you as a friend.

6.2 Providing Information to Third Parties

This App does not provide your information to third parties, except in the following cases:

• When disclosure is requested under law
• When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining your consent is difficult
• When you have given your consent

7. Third-Party Services Used

This App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions)
• Google Maps Platform (map display on both iOS and Android)

8. Data Security

This App takes the following security measures to protect your data:

• Access control through Firebase security rules
• Server-side authentication and permission checks through Cloud Functions

• Automatic deletion of location data when sharing ends

• Access to your data: The right to check your own data

• Stopping sharing: The right to stop location sharing by hand at any time

• Managing friends: The right to add, remove, and block friends

10. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for children under the age of 13. If we learn that a child under 13 is using this App, we will promptly delete the relevant data.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary. If there are important changes, we will let you know through an in-app notification.
